2020ePOD – The Product
At Skillweb, we specialise in mobile computing solutions. We are an authorised partner of both TouchStar and Belgravium. We have developed a robust 2020ePOD solution that is ideal for the collection of proof of delivery signatures for a wide range of businesses involved in the distribution and delivery of their products. The solution includes the shared use of our resilient servers managing and controlling your data and presenting it to you either on the web or back to an Excel spreadsheet or directly into your business systems. The solution requires three elements:
1) The hardware platform with which to capture signatures. The range of devices is wide and varied and you will be able to select one suitable for your operational environment. From tough, rugged, waterproof through to slim-line PDA devices our application will port to most platforms. We will help you with the procurement of your chosen platform.
2) A data communications package from your phone operator. We recommend taking a data-only contract. This will typically cost you £20 to connect and £8 a month per device. If you wish the device to double-up as a phone, the cost of this will depend on the tariff you choose. There are some good deals around and we can help you to choose the best value for money.
3) Finally Skillweb’s 2020ePOD software and its inclusive maintenance package; telephone support during office hours; a two hour training session; and use of our managed services for the handling of your data. Our solutions are proven and very reliable, we manage the complexities associated with data integrity and managing the database. You simply create the task sheets for the drivers, upload them to our server, the drivers then download the data to their computers and go about their deliveries. The application does the rest, ensuring you receive the signatures and management reports as appropriate.
