Authorised TouchStar partner Skillweb’s Yard Management solution is a cost effective tool to quickly and efficiently transform your yard operations. The solution enables you to pre-plan arrivals and departures, cope with un-expected arrivals and improve the flow of traffic around your yard.

The software provides the following functions: capture and display booking references to those authorised to receive the information: for example security guards, transport managers, operations managers, shunters and warehouse operators. For vehicles arriving at the gatehouse the guard can record the vehicle registration, trailer and container numbers, allocating trailers to either pre-allocated or empty parking bays.

The system facilitates drop and swap, search, fixed allocation, straight to loading / unloading bays. It caters for bay already full, trailer missing, partially loaded, and not on site. The system can cater for load details, down to SKUs and pallet level.

The system provides maintenance screens for fleet assets, a diary management system for pre-booking, issuing alerts when exceptions occur and identifying vehicle status. Long standing and VOR trailers can be clearly identified.

Shunters can be equipped with mobile wireless handheld computers, which are used to allocate tasks, record activities and exceptions and change priorities as operational requirements dictate.
